ABOUT

Diego Wandal is a multi-instrumentalist musician, sound designer, music composer and master in musicology based in Curitiba, Brazil, who got into music as an early teenager back in 2008, and hasn't stopped exploring the sound world since then.

Starting with the guitar, he made his way through playing the electric bass, the drums and the keyboard, to finally realize music was more important to him than it seemed. That led to the decision of getting into the music program of the State University of Parana, in 2017. There he expanded his knowledge about music and sound, and got in touch with three topics in the area that he claims to have changed his perception about the subject: music production, sound design and research.

In 2020, he released an indie rock/synth pop EP called “Atemporal Files”, under the name Blue Rattle Funk, where he wrote, recorded and produced the tracks. In 2021 he created Didi SFX, which would be the brand responsible for creating music and sound for media. In this role, he worked along with 3D artists on animation projects for clients such as Six n Five Studios and Porsche.

In 2024, he earned the title of Master in Musicology, for his research in the field of Brazilian Historic Musicology, at the School of Music and Fine Arts of Parana Master's Degree Program, in Curitiba, Brazil.
